So it was up to the fourth composer in the group, Iris ter Schiphorst, to set the record straight and fulfil the artistic claim of composing with a brilliant work. As a work commissioned by Deutschlandfunk, the highlight of the "Forum of New Music 2005" was the premiere of a work in which concrete instrumental sounds were amplified throughout and enriched and charged by additional tapes. ... "Aus Kindertagen: verloren" scatters children's verses and quotes from novels in a highly organised ensemble movement... a process that the Hamburg composer also pursues in other works....For the profit and loss account of the "Forum neuer Musik 2005", this portrait concert proved to be an eminent stroke of luck.

... The greatest discovery was undoubtedly the Berlin composer Iris ter Schiphorst. Her rich soundscapes are composed of an original mixture of noisy sounds (through electronic amplification of the instruments) on the one hand and a highly expressive narrative style on the other. As a work commissioned by Deutschlandfunk, "aus Kindertagen: verloren!" impressed with its unity and original use of the electric guitar...
