"In this furious composition, there are frenzied passages by the famous trio of violinist Jagdish Mistry, Eva Böcker on cello and Jürgen Kruse on piano and keyboard, samples on the edge of audibility and repetitive elements. And those that are reminiscent of dance music, albeit one that sounds like a drunken ride on a merry-go-round. Alternating with the music, Hoppe performs a kind of potpourri with passages from four novels and a collection of stories spanning her work from 1996 to her latest novel Pravda - An American Journey ."

Frankfurter Rundschau, Judith von Sternburg, 6 January 2019

"The music was also collage-like, so that a coffee house atmosphere wafted through the hall ... or even a spa orchestra atmosphere. She (F. Hoppe), for example, wants to spend her life with the director of the Kurpark Orchestra from now on. In this respect, it all fitted together, while Hoppe's praise of the only note that could really be relied on (she meant the A, I think) was followed by particularly unreliable notes. Ter Schiphorst did not provide background music, but music that responded to Hoppe's words in a lively, sometimes chatty manner. She also immediately responded to ghostly situations with her own accents....Man never loses sight of how slyly this author proceeds, and here too the music was in no way inferior to her."

Frankfurter Neue Presse, 6 June 2018

"Stormy applause for the performers."
